Is my donation really matched?

Scholarship donations are matched dollar for dollar by the Florida Prepaid Project STARS Scholarship Program. The match applies to gifts designated for scholarships. The amount available changes each year; for the current fiscal year it is $60,000. A gift to the whole program supports mentoring, advocacy and college readiness, which the state match does not cover.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Take Stock in Children of Broward County, Inc. is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Registered Charity 84-4009513. Your contributions are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Where does the money actually go?

Take Stock in Children of Broward provides caring volunteer mentors, student advocacy, college readiness, and college scholarships. Services start in middle school, continue through high school, and include post-secondary retention and completion services.

Will my gift be recognised?

Every gift is acknowledged personally. The Honor Roll Society is a separate multi-year commitment, and its levels are published: the Dean's List is $1,000 a year for three years, the Provost's List $2,500, and the President's List $5,000. Members who renew for a further three years at the same level are recognised as Donors of High Distinction.
